• THANKS

Always Caring 4 Kidz is run as a not-for-profit entity and as such has no regular income. There are no government grants for what we do, so we have had to rely on the generosity of others. Silence is the first in the series and we look forward to producing the rest.

There were over 250 people involved in the pre production, production, post production and marketing of Silence and we would like to say thanks again for all of their support.

Lisa Lovett photo

We owe a huge debt of gratitude to our Executive Producer, the late Dr. Lisa Lovett who was the first to send us a donation to help get the ball rolling and then loaned us an additional $14,000 out of her Super Fund so that we could "get it in the can" (get it filmed). Lisa passed away last year but her memory will live on as Executive Producer of the rest of our educational series. Lisa we think about you every day.

Joanne Switserloot
Another one of our unsung heroes is Joanne Switserloot. When we were desperately trying to get the film finished in time for our World Premiere at Cannes in 2006, Joanne loaned us the $15,000 needed. She had never even met any of us yet she put her trust in us to make a difference with this film. Joanne is truly an angel and we will do our best to make her proud of her involvement. Thanks Joanne for your help.
Robby J photo

Robby has been one of our biggest advocates since she joined us at the Australian premiere of Silence at Warner Bros. Movie World.

She has been an inspiration and a voice of reason through some of the difficult patches over the last two years. Thanks Robby!

Those unaccustomed to working in the film industry often find it hard to believe how much money it takes to make one. If everyone had been paid even minimum rates on Silence, and still getting reasonable prices on the rest, it would have taken close to $500,000. Yet we were able to produce the film, screen it at the Cannes Film Festival in France, and promote it elsewhere around the world for less than $70,000.
